Well I went to the cash and carry yesterday to check out knitwear as H & M did not have my cardigan
I got a cream shirt with a rep stripe tie in orange, gold and red and a mint green spread collar shirt for less than a tenner.
I have set out with my charcoal pin striped suit, pale pink shirt and dark red tie with pink and red small patterned medallions on it. Black derby brogues and black belt. I didn’t bother with a coat and so of course it was lashing down by the time I got to work at 7:45.I discovered my suit is Teflon treated so I was saved from being damp all day, It was well covered in the little droplets of rain by the time I got from the car park to the back door. Phew!
I do have my jacket for site visits in work and also a huge winter waterproof jacket that drowns even me in my storeroom so I am not stuck here., and a dark red knitted waistcoat if it turns cold (I am in a temporary office just now and it’s like a fridge sometimes). The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. You're a dapper dresser, Douglas.
Have you seen this shirt on eBay:

Sadly nothing to do with me, I wish!0 -
I will have to check it later - I cant do ebay from my work PC even if it's quiet. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I've only lost 10lb, but i'm in the zone and really want to get to a comfortable size 12, so i don't really want to buy stuff as in the past i have used that as an excuse not to loose weight, as in 'i've just bought xyz and i love it, if i loose weight it won't fit'
Let me know how much and i will paypal you some money!
really am off to walk the dogs now....
Fab
I belted stuff, wore stuff until it was too baggy and people made me throw it away, bought some inbetweeny bits from Primark and charity shops (ie cheap stuff), bought stuff that was technically too small but would fit over a number of sizes (iykwim?). I haven't bought anything that now doesn't fit that I'll be sad to part with.0 -
Wow, that shirt is fantastic!
Douglas - is the H&M cardigan not available through their website?0 -

Isn't it just? Too big for Jon plus it's not worth him spending more than a fiver on anything, it ends up covered in paint or petrol within minutes...once a punk always a punk.
I feels like autumn today. Looks like the tights may be making an appearance sooner than I'd like.0 -
Got it (the ebay shirt)on my phone - very nice but too small for me it works out as an L ~I go to xl or xxl.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I like to try things on and see what they are made like before I buy, auction sites excepted.

WHilst I do get a lot of clothes from ebay, I agree with you about buying from other clothes websites, douglas..
If it's smething relatively expensive, i'm not sure you can always tell how it'll look IRL if you don't see it first.
In addition to which, I'm the world's worst when it comes to taking things back. I never seem to bother returning things, so i'm hopeless if I order things online and then they arrive and I don't like them!0 -
I don't think you're fussy. I must admit, I only really buy online from stores that I know I can return things to easily (ie DP - there's one about 2 miles from my house). I can't face the faff of having to trek to the post office with returns if it turns out that the stuff is badly made.0
