Help!!! How do i get a credit card with poor credit history????

Hi all
First of all i'm 22 years old, I have never had a credit card or a loan personally before because i have never really needed to borrow.

I have defaulted on 2 payments (Unpaid phone contract £252.53, Unpaid unauthorized overdraft 900 odd quid) I have paid both of those debts off in full and as I am aware I am debt free currently.

Of course i'm assuming that my credit history is not too good, i checked it with the 30 day free trial for creditexpert.com.

I am going on holiday soon and have a few things to pay off (car 800 quid etc) i am completely new to this game and dont have a damn clue what im doing even when ive read the advice on this site i find it confusing.

I want to borrow £2000.00 I will use it for paying the 800 quid off and the other things and the rest ill use for spending on holiday but ill take cash with me.

Whats the best thing to do? a loan or a card? Where will i get accepted for a cheap loan/card? because i have tried and all i get is declined...

You won't get a cheap credit card.

All you would get is a subprime card. Which will be very high interest, but will allow you to rebuild your credit rating.
