Hello I am due to start an online store shortly and will be advertising through Google with a presence also on Ebay.
If someone pays me with a credit card or debit card and i do a transcation for lets 200 pounds and i then find out this seller was bogus
What happens does ebay and the merchant facility claw the money back or is it their fault for letting the transaction through?
Thanks

I really think you should be asking these questions at your bank and get anything in writing if possible.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Trying to get through to my business manager is a nightmare, i have requested a callback twice?
I did ask the call centre but they said I need to speak to her??0 -
Change your bank.
I now use Paypal Virtual Terminal to process my credit cards for mail order. I find it easier, quicker and have yet to encounter a problem. I find that anything even remotely dodgy is refused and cannot be authorised. The worse thing is trying to work out the reason why, when they give you a 3 digit code, of which there are hundreds.
You should still be aware that not all cards are reported stolen/lost before they are used by the 'holder'. So chargebacks are still likely, but some banks cover you some don't.0
