Another WWYD?

Bought and paid for an item on 24th August at 10am - auction states posts within one day. Bearing in mind bank holiday, I did not contact her until y/day (fri) to state had not received it, could she confirm when and how it was posted (ie parcel,1st class etc), had a one line reply "posted the day you paid for it" I mailed her back and asked again if she could confirm method of posting - no reply - I mailed her after post had been this morning to say still not rec'd - no reply - she is a power seller with K4 + FB, has been on ebay today leaving feedback etc so would have seen my message - I don't doubt her posting it for one moment, everyone else who has bought since me has rec'd their items - I'm gutted as I paid a really good price and current auctions for it are running high (total was only about £6 inc post), so anyway, WWYD - do I report it to paypal as item not rec'd, do I hold on and wait to see if she is going to reply to my mails and what she intends to do? and if so how long do I wait for her to reply - don't want to message her again incase she sees it as harrassment, all I want is a reply -oh, and I've seen the postie everyday so it's not a failed delivery attempt. sorry, got a bit long there!!

  • I would be tempted to open a dispute with PayPal, perhaps that will get her attention and hopefully a response.

  • thanks, thats kinda the way I was heading, just wanted a bit of reassurance I wasn't being too hasty!
  • I think you've been very patient and you have made contact with the seller. If the seller posted it the day you paid and even taking into consideration the bank holiday then it still should have arrived by now.

Did the seller not send an email explaining what happened to the item?

  • nope - just had a dispute closed mail with no notes from seller and a refund notification - I really would like to think that she did send it, but bearing in +mind there is one currently for £18 plus p&p, and I paid £2.21 plus p&p it has made me wonder -
  • What the seller is selling exactly the same DVD as you won for £18?

  • No, the price of another auction is currently at that (it wasn't a DVD, ) all the same of the item have gone for a lot more than I won mine for and I think she anticipated a much higher selling price, so I do wonder if it has not been lost at all - put it this way, I have listed as a fav.seller so I am notified now when she lists anything else, and if this gets listed again, I will be notifying ebay and any bidders on it pointing them in the direction of the auction i won - it is highly unlikey she has 2 of the same in her household.
