Mobile phone IMEI number question

:hello:
I'm putting an old phone on eBay coz Martin says I should. :money:
I've taken a picture of the phone with the battery removed, and the IMEI number is visible. Should I obliterate it from the picture before I list it, or doesn't it matter? i.e. if someone else knows the IMEI number, could they report it stolen for a laugh etc.
Cheers

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

 Then so shall I.
Thanks Browntoa, another question for you...
The phone I've got (6310i) is in perfect working order, but very well used and somewhat battered. I could probably refurbish it myself before selling, but would it make a significant difference to what I'd get? I've never done one before, but I'm sure it can't be that hard?
Any thoughts?

it's easy enough to take to bits with a T6 screwdriver and blow away the fluff etc

the condition seemed to make little difference to the ending prices (both ended at the same time on the same day!!)
under 10% more for one with all manuals and great condition
it's not worth the hassle or cost refurbing!money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

Still a popular phone. I think lots of people are just happy to get ones in working condition so long as they aren't too bad cosmetically.
Good luck0 -

Wow! I'd be gutted if I had all the manuals etc. and it made so little difference. All I've got is the phone + battery, nowt else. I have got one in better condition with all the manuals & charger, box etc, but I want to see how this one goes first - I might keep one in case I need a spare. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

This one's not too pretty. Been dropped more than a few times, I reckon.
