Evening :hello:
I have 3 billion eggs  (oh OK then, 38) so I've popped on here for some egg recipesSomeone was asking about egg storage the other day, they'd seen a skelter but no-one was selling them in the UK. OMLET have started selling them, I bought one and it's fab
Haven't done much today, just tidied the garden a bit and sorted out some rubbish. I wanted a new skirt just like my old one, course there's none in the shops. It's a gypsy skirt that comes down to my ankles, the material was starting to go thin round the top so I cut the top bit off, moved the zip and took it in. It's now calf-length. New skirt for free
We were popping the rhubarb champagne bottles yesterday, one was too fizzy. In about half a second, the litre bottle was empty and the drink was all over the kitchen and dripping off the ceiling. As it was mr tru who popped that particular bottle, I announced I was off for a shower and left him to clean it up :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
Evening all,
Was very naughty to-day....up before 6 am to take DD4 and DGS2 to airport and went back to bed when I came home....slept for 2 hours so it was nearly 11 am when the day started. Then went to have my eyebrows waxed....I know its not OS but can no longer see well enough to do a decent job so treat myself now and again....need to look as respectable as possible for my trip to Glasgow next week!
Went out for late lunch yet again so no cooking to-day....think my lazy gene has doubled lately.
Got clothes off line before the rain (4 drops), washed another load and have them festooned about the house, just in case, also made some red currant jam....too lazy to make jelly but will do the same job I reckon.
CupofChai....not sure what others mean when they refer to OH, when I do it I mean 'old horror'!
Welcome newbies, you will like it here.
Hugs to the tiny babies....hope that they make it safely.
It has been very warm here to-day, but cloudy, according to w forecast we are going to have rain most days for the next week, not much, hopefully just enough to keep the garden going without being watered.
Csarina....I remember feverfew growing round this house for sixty years....it is now all over the garden, obviously it was better managed in the 50s, seems every time I pull a few there are hundreds of plants in their place.
Hugs to all in need or want and all those who are MIA...come back soon please.

Evening all
Just a quickie from me cos I'm knackered.
Good day at work, did lots of admin stuff for my newbie colleague. Met girls for dinner after work for a catch up.
Just seen on Facebook that one of my work kids from last year is pregnant  she is only 18. However she is with the father, seems very happy and has a sensible head on her shoulders. She will make a good mum, but I just hope she still manages to do all the things she wanted to do like travel etc.
No OS today, need to make packed lunch for tomorrow though, but may do it in morning.
Hope you all had good day

Meanmarie - 'old horror', nice! I might nick that meaning for it, seeing as he has been moaning for at least a fortnight now that he will be old!
I'm not keen on 'other half' because I think "What was I before then? Half a person?!"0 -
Evening everyone
Beem MIA again, have not stopped over the weekend, drove over 600 miles over 3 days.
Had dd 21st party last friday, met with ex family who I haven't seen much over last 5 years, was nice to catchup and see everyone. She announced that her and boyfriend are getting married on 10/10/10 so I need to save some pennies quick. Went out for a meal on the sat afternoon in the lakes, then dropped my parents off as I was then driving south as going to my partners uncles 80th birthday party on Sunday afternoon, which was lovely.
On Monday ds2 tried a morning at his new school, he was very nervous, but when he came out at lunchtime, he said it was brilliant and good, so feel much better now. It is very hands on which is what he needs and how he learns, he struggles to read and write.
Well my wedding is 2 weeks tomorrow now so my posting may be a bit hit and miss over next couple of weeks. Getting a bit fraught now with table plans, numbers cancelling etc. Got a bit upset tonight as someone I thought was a good friend has text me to say if her bf has a gig she wouldn't come on her own:mad:. I think she is after bringing her son who is teenager, but it is family children only. I am going to ring her tomorrow as I don't want to pay for meal, wine etc for 2 people and then they don't turn up.
Not much os happening here apart from cooking, washing and cleaning. Feel quite drained at the moment, but think trying to pack up the house as well is too much to do, will now have to wait till after the honeymoon. Only 6 more days to work now, feel quite sad in a way that I am leaving as my line manager is fantastic.
Taplady - will say my prayers for your hairdress and the Babies.
Bitsy - Hope your meeting was ok.
PP - Thinking of you, sorry to hear you have to go back into hosp.
Jayward - Thinking of you too.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care
