I am planning to get my car done using chipsaway or somewhere else. I will get quotation from them first and then decide which one I would like to use.

Do I have to give my personal details (DOB) apart from home address and mobile no.?

I know that I need to provide my details to insurance company but am not sure about small car shop.

I had my car repaired using Chipsaway, they didn't require anything, I just dropped the car when agreed and picked it up again when repaired. Good job done aswell.

    hi Davidboy,

So, they didn't ask you to show your driver license and check your details?

Did chipsaway do a good job in your car? What job did they do for your car if you don't mind me asking?

Since the 1st April this year Chipsaway have also insisted on taking dna samples. The operator will also put rubber gloves on - this is to protect his hands from the chemicals they use in the repair work, however, if he then picks up any KY jelly - RUN!
