 Have just recieved my latest BT bill online.... £87.00. I normally pay for option 3 Total Broadband £24.99 and £14.00 line rental etc. I nearly fell off the chair with shock. But apparently they are taking advance charges so bill now starts on the same date each month ??????????? .
Has anyone else had a massive bill this month for these charges??It is a one off!supposedly. It does state on their website that this the new way they are billing..
I have been looking for a while to change as my bills appear to have been increasing, this may be it.
any thoughts?

I like to take one day at a time....but quite often several days attack me at once...

You need to switch to monthly whole bill DD. And line rental is £11.54 with paperless billing and DD-where do you get £14 from?No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I changed to monthly whole bill direct debit using THIS FORM so as to avoid any possibility of misunderstanding(s).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

i have, we normally pay £62.50 a month dd for 2 lines and broadband. i opted for paperless billing. got my e mail on the 16th june to say the bill was ready and have not been able to access it the few times i have tried. didn't worry me too much as my monthly payments are the same each month. went into my bank account and they have taken £147.50 this month without my knowledge as their online billing system has not been working......i am ready to start shouting at someone today.
thanks for the info though sparklycat as this probably explains the big hike
