Hi all,
When I was held up in London last week (due to national express cancelling my coach without telling me!) so I had to get the train back. It was getting late and I bought a double cheeseburger from Burger King at Euston Train station.
When I was on the train munching my way through it I discovered a large piece of black plastic in it. Its very oily and left black marks all over my fingers when i spat it out. Even now when its dry its still oily and leaves marks.
It looks like a piece of melted black plastic but its quite soft (i already accidentally broke it in half)
So I was just wondering what I should do about this now?
I have sent them the following email:
"Hi,
Last Wednesday I bought a double cheeseburger meal from your chain at London Euston train station.
Once I began eating it on the train, as I chewed I found a piece of black plasticy substance in my meat. It is a sticky black looking piece of melted plastic. And when I spat it out and felt it it left black marks all over my fingers!
I am horrified by this experience, as it isnt a small piece of plastic. Its quite large, and I am also unsure as to what exactly it is! This could have easily harmed a child,
Please tell me what steps I should take next to resolve this.
Thank you. "
Im not looking to claim compo or anything similar, just thought I should let them know. But what do you think.. should I kick up a big fuss about this?? "Think of the children??" etc?? Also.. anyone any ideas to what an earth this could be??
Heres a pic

You have let them know ? so what else do you want other than the standard letter back, we shall look into it and sorry? you say you don't want compensation, so get your letter back and move on.0

The last two posts sum it up quite well really"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Well I'd like an explanation back as to what it is, why its there, an apology and preferably a refund of some sort aswell. And I just want to make them aware of it mainly, as it hasnt harmed me in anyway, but had it been a larger piece and a small child it could have been different. Also the oily texture concerns me, and I would like to ensure its not toxic or harzardous in any way.♥ Blogger at Victoria's Vintage Blog ♥0 -

I would suggest you follow Eranous suggestion."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

To be fair, I would much want to know exactly what it was that had contaminated food which I was eating.0
