Please don't use caps like that - it's considered very poor form online and is akin to screaming and shouting.
Secondly, what exactly did you ask Lloyds TSB for?
They may well refuse you a full current account, but I can't think why they wouldn't open you a basic bank account.
What did they say was the reason for refusal?0 -
All banks offer a 'basic' bank account that offers most normal banking services but not an Overdraft and sometimes on a cash card rather than a full debit card0

I can vouch for the coop cashminder account .Its the coop basic bank account, has a visa debit now and online banking, along with being able to have direct debits standing orders etc on the account.Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0

Don't open an account with anyone that you owe money firstly, as they will have the right to gobble any wages paid in.
I would avoid Lloyds anyway as their basic account doesnt give good cash machine access.

Go to your local building society and open an instant access savings account with a passbook, that allows bacs (how your wages would be paid) and it will be opened there and then
However the is another instant solution, if you have a partner or payments ask if you can have the wages paid in to thier account. Then go to your boss with thier account details (sort code/account number) and when the boss asks for the name on your account give them yours.
You see the way the banking system works is that it only relies on the sort code/account number and the name has no bearing on every day transactions.
People will say you cant do that blah blah blah, but i have it works . You could even put daffy duck as the account name and you would still get the money...For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0
