Faulty chair what are my rights?

Hi there
i brought a table and chair set in October 2008 from a website, very happy with my purchase, and i have placed other orders since to furnish my home.
The problem I have is last week one of my dining chair legs snapped, I reported it to the company I purchased it from, I was told no problem they have one in stock and I can have it for £99, in my mind the chair must have been faulty to snap like it has, i thought that they would exchange it free of charge for me, do I have to pay? or should they exchange it?

I dont think you have any rights at all, sorry, not after nearly 2 years.
Legs just dont snap to be honest.
Do you know a joiner who could mend it for you.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

As above legs dont just snap, if you want to proceed then the burden of proof is on you to prove that the chair was inherently faulty from purchase by obtaining an independent report.Back by no demand whatsoever.0
