Save The Date Poem - what do you think?

My understanding was that it was for day guests not evening guests?

That's a really great poem, what format are you doing it as? Like just typed or a powerpoint or leaflet type thing?

I'd send STDs to just the day guests, you don't want to upset evening guests by giving them the impression that they're coming to the whole day then only sending an evening invite! Also surely the most important people i.e. the ones who you need to keep your wedding date free are the day guests, evening guests can be a little more flexible.

Yes, I am going to put a bit more info, like links to the hotels available (if we pre-book an allocation of rooms at certain hotels they have a deal with the venue where they lay on free taxis to get everyone back to the hotel at the end of the night, which is great!) and a bit of info about the venue etc.

I'm going to ask people to let me know if they think they'll want a room so that I know roughly how many we need to pre-book. Then everyone will be able to ring the hotel, say they're attending our wedding and they'll (hopefully) be given one of the rooms we've pre-booked.

I was initially just going to type it but am now thinking of doing something a bit fancier, with pictures and stuff. It would probably be easier to do that in Powerpoint as I'll be able to play around with it a bit more before I send it!
