Providing a reason for continued employment

As of today my two week consultation period has started, and I'm 99.9% certain that no matter what happens I'll be made redundant after that.

Now my line manager has approached me, and asked that I create a document providing a reason for my continued employment in some sort of role. My line manager is a professional and friendly person who normaly I'd trust implicity, however, I'm concerned at her explicitly asking for this considering that all of these issues will be discussed in further meetings.

By creating such a document could I place myself in a compromising position at all ?. Is she being genuine, or is she just pushing for this so that the official procedure has been 100% complied with so that making me redundant will be as straight forward as possible ?.

Thanks.
