    OK, you went for the 'medical' for ESA in December?
    You failed and you put in an appeal.

    When did you fail? What was the date of the letter from the DWP telling you that you had failed?

    As far as I know, if more than 6 months have elapsed since the date of that letter, you can put in a fresh claim for ESA based on your current sick note. The whole thing will then start over.

    If it isn't yet more than 6 months since, you can still claim ESA but you will have to show that your medical condition is worse than it was when you failed, or that you have a new illness or both.
