Have I slaughtered my beans?

I applied some soapy water Sunday night to try and rid the balckfly but it looks last night the plants looked like I had killed them





all the leaves look like they are going black, is this too late to save?

How soapy was the water? You are only supposed to use a tiny tiny bit of washing up liquid in it.
Also apparently washing up liquid has things in it that aren't good for plants, you should really use horticultural soft soap.
You could try soaking them in clean water, get it all over them. You can't do much else I think.

Ok it looks like the beans have survived as i have a few growing now....yipee!!!

I seem to have a few little blighters appearing on my peppers and wubergines now and was wondering if this would be safe to use on them

Yes but read the warnings on the back re: fish etc.

I use this stuff (suitable for organic gardening) and its instant death. Doesn't do caterpillars though!
