How to bend pipes to towel radiator?

I am replacing an old radiator in the bathroom with a chrome towel-radiator style affair.
However the valve inlets are 30mm wider apart on the new radiator:mad:
Can I just bend an 'S'-curve into the supply pipes coming up from the floor? There's about 14cm of pipe rising above the floor. I had in mind draining down, removing the old radiator, then inserting a bending spring into the pipes and easing them into a curve...

You're best of bending up new pipes and then connecting them up.
I'd use a small pipe cutter to cut the supply pipes beneath the floor level, then bend new bits, then join them up, probably with compression fittings.
Bending spring and pipe across knee is way to bend it.Happy chappy0 -
Drain down, cut them below the floor then fit new tails in chrome plated pipe.
It looks a whole world better and take little more effort.0 -

you must do as alan says, chrome towel rails look terrible if the pipe to them doesnt go straight down below the floor. You must put chrome plated pipe in as well.
You'll be happy you spent the extra time and moneygo on, adopt a greyhound

Would echo Alan and Handymans advice - we had the same issue before as the pipes coming down from the towel rail were about 40mm proud of the skirting. We tried bending the pipes to get them closer in and they looked AWFUL. Steer clear of beding springs - trying to do an S shape properly is impossible.
Take up your floorboards, if necessary replace the last metre or so of the pipe with plastic and bring it up right under the tower rail.
Trust me - it looks the dogs danglies.0
