Hi there,
I bought a macbook pro last friday..
The issue i have is its advertised in store for 999 but when i tried to buy one the sales assistant told me that i could not purchase it without paying a additional 79.99 for there one to one service (basic training and file transfer service ).. I double checked this with him as didnt sound right to be told that that was 100% the case and i could not buy it without the additional service ..
Since being back at work and mentioning it to a couple of colleagues we decided to call another apple store to be told that wasnt the case at all and they appologise if i had been lead to belive that ..
My question is can i return the laptop for a full refund as im that angry i was lied to instore or would i have to pay the 10% restocking fee to add to the insult .. (as it has been opened)
Thanks for looking
Ollie

Its clearly an optional purchase,

I suppose if you are prepared to spend £1000 on a 13" laptop then they think you won't quibble.
Do you know the name of the apple store genius who served you?
I'd ring the store manager and politely ask for a refund of the one to one. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I've answered this in the other thread OP opened in Consumer Rights.0
