Name change and direct debits

I got married last month and have changed the name on my main bank account but I haven't managed to go into C&G or Halifax to change my name on the mortgages. I'm having a bit of a flap now about whether the direct debits will still come out ok? The account is all the same except my surname obviously. I will try to call Halifax later but I don't have my C&G account number with me.

Can anyone advise/reassure?

The direct debits active on the account will be fine, as they are take by reference number. Just ensure you use your new surname for future direct debits you set up.
