Hi, I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but I have just gone down to my local newsagents and brought a 4 pinter of milk,or so I thought. When I was putting it in the fridge it says on the bottle 3pints,yet I paid as much as I would for 3 pints. I think in future I will make sure we are not low and buy from Tesco where I work.
I'm not sure if this is the right place and if not can it be moved to the right place, thanks.

I buy mine in Iceland - its £1 for 4 pints
#i currently have 4 sat in my fridge and i dare say ill go back soon and ge tsome more to stock my freezer up - sometimes think it would be cheaper in the long run to buy a cow though! especailly with the amount we drink!!!!!!!!Time to find me again0 -
we buy the 6 pint container.. which is £1.62 in tescos....
we used to have milk from he milk man.. even though it was more expensive than the supermarket... it worked out cheaper for me in the end ..as i would go in the supermarket just for milk and end up spending
about £20.
but then the milk man stopped as it just wasnt worth him... doing it for the little profit he was making...
so now its back to the supermarket for my milk.....Work to live= not live to work0 -

Farm foods have an on going offer. The milk is sold as 2 litres which is slightly less than 4 pints. Buy 2 x 2 litres for £1.60, we been getting it there for ages and think we've got a good buy.;)
I read in the Mail a couple of weeks ago that grocery prices have increased somewhat due to the increase in fuel costs which means we are the mugs that have to suffer the increase from everything we buy:mad:"Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0 -
And fuel costs are supposed to come down now.
Petrol is already down below 90p a litre. 10% drop in crude in last 6 weeks.
Will we see a drop in goods ? No way.
The hauliers (bad spelling? doesnt look right) will probably say that their
insurance has gone up just like us ordinary drivers.NURSE: "Shouldn't it be sterilized, doctor?"

most supermarkets sell longlife skimmed milk for about 35p a litre. much cheaper, and doesn't need keeping in fridge or freezer. we only use this now.£2 saver club 30th sept 198 £2 coins = £396(£350 banked)0

lots of threads on this but all saying milk going up e.g. tescos used to £1 for 4pints but now £1.11? iceland seems consistent at £1. local newsagents vary in price.0
