Hi,
we were trying to play a game of crossword on one of the newspaper websites but it would not load and gave the message "java is not enabled on your computer".
Clueless as to what Java is I'm embarrassed to say! Can we "enable" it and is it safe to do so - no idea what it is/does and what risks there might be to having it enabled and running.
If anyone can throw any light we'd be very grateful. Also if it is a run of the mill ordinary safe thing to have running pls can anyone say how we go about enabling it?
We use Firefox Mozilla and have Windows XP (not sure which version etc).
Many thx!

That's what you've got installed, but do you have multiple versions [ updates etc ] installed and which one are you using ?
Sysinternals used to have a prog that would tell you the owner of any *.DLL and they are owned by Bill Gates, if I can find it I'll give you a shout in the AMDisclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
