Computers For Work Scheme??

Options
My hubby ordered us a new Samsung Laptop via his work that hes been at for 6yrs under the "you at work scheme" where you can buy a new laptop or computer for 3yrs and pay for it out of your salary....anyhow we ordered this in May and hes had the 1st payment taken from his salary this month, but no laptop has arrived!
His employment said they have sent payment for everyone last week and that they should contact me soon from onecall pc to arrange delivery, when i contacted them all they would say is they were awaiting " authorisation and depending on stock " and when i told them wed already starting paying for it they said to stop having a go at them and to speak to the HR dept for my husbands work, which he did and they said it had been paid for. So i feel like we cant ask either of them now as they are constantly passing the book and im getting fed up......is anyone used to this or how it works??

Its not the suppliers its the employer taking the proverbrial and its your employer you have the contract with. Forget the personnel (since they rebranded themselves as HR most been quite insufferable anyway) department and go up the tree via your line manager. If the latter has any any respect for his staff he'll sort it out for you.

    Cheers

  • Already been there and tried that and he was useless, so tried another manager and he said he spoke to someone who promised to sort it too and still no outcome, so we've run out of managers now. The DP & other line managers there are all pretty new and to be honest dont know their head from their backsides, so a waste of space most of the time! Lol...so all there is to do is to sit back and wait and to have the mickey taken out of us! If i knew it was going to be this long and this pain staking i would not have bothered with the scheme!

It sounds like the HR department have told you that the laptop has been ordered and paid for - if this is the case they should be able to give you a reference or an order number.

The supplier doesn't have to talk to you at all regarding this order, as far as they are concerned the order is between themselves and your other half's work.

To get some traction you are likely to have to find out who actually placed the order and then badger them to find out what is happening.
