Internship - JSA/Income support?

Hi,
I'm a recent graduate who's just found work as a full time intern the only problem is, is that it only pays for my travel and lunch expenses.
I was wondering if there is any financial support available for someone in my position. As I'm working full-time I don't time to attend meetings/interviews or that 40 minute call during a work day. I need this experience to get into the computing industry, yet can't sustain the experience with no pay.
To note, I live with my family and have never claimed any benefits before.
I'd appreciate any support or suggestions,
LaChavvy

how long is the internship - could you look for an evening or weekend paying job on top
I think you are inplying you are not available for full time work, if you are not a single parent or disabled then IS will be out
It is a tough game, I graduated in 99 and no-one would employ anyone with no experience pre Y2K. I got some experience shadowing IT in the company I worked (non IT company) for then and took a HUGE paycut to go in at a very entry level position to a major IT company (I had been a mature student and had a family yet I was paid the same as a school leaver) It was a gamble I took which paid off and I was in a management position within 3 years however things were very tight for the first 12 months until the pay rises and bonuses started kicking in0 -
JSA is available but very restricted - you have to be in receipt of JSA for 6 months and the internship has to last no longer than 13 weeks.
