That won't cover it for ever. Taking drugs is a rich man's game.drinkupretty wrote: »He sold a lot of his DVD's and Xbox games to CEX.
Best get on with your life and let him go to blazes. It sounds cruel, but in my experience people like that will simply lean on everyone around them, eventually pulling them all down."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -
Not much you can do. Let him get on with it.
If it's any comfort, he will eventually get fed up, especially when he sees his friends moving on with their lives.
FWIW - I have a brother, he is 5 years younger than me, graduated with a pass degree, spent 18+ months unemployed then working part time in the local newsagent. Nearly drove my dad up the wall.
He eventually got his !!!! together and did a TEFL certificate and has just completed his second year teaching in Poland.
There is hope... it's just bl00dy annoying while it's going on, remember to him you know NOTHING!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Good luck in your own job search

Yep, sometimes it takes young men (ok, maybe young women as well, but I've only seen it in men) to understand that they are men now and not little boys for mummy and daddy or society to look after. This will carry on until
a) your Dad sees sense and lays down the law - contribute or sod off
b) he sees others his age earning decent money and having good lives while he's scraping by as a waster, and eventually comes to his senses. This happens to most of them.
If he's too lazy to do voluntary work to improve his CV, he's going to be too lazy too keep down a job right now. He'll probably end up doing !!!!!! jobs for a few weeks at a time to get a bit of spending money (lots of these lads work in Argos warehouse where I am), until something gives him a wake up call.
Leave it to your dad and worry about yourself.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
