RSB - Prem accounts - good for us.

I read with interest Martyin's thoughts on "loyalty "account at banks. We have a RBS Premier account. Among the usual bits and pieces - i.e. free overdraft for xxx amount, free commission on currency etc, this account also offers a substantial deduction on theatre and concerts tickets, discount on booked travel (and airport parking) and a free airport lounge passes, together with worldwide annual travel insurance for us both. As my husband is 74 years old we do have to pay an additional yearly fee of £50.00 for this cover making the total price paid to the bank in one year of £230.00. Anyone who has tried to get travel insurance for the over 70's will know just what a nightmare that can be, and just how expensive!, and that is just for one trip. SO with the money we have saved on insurance, and to date, £206 on other services they offer, I am more pleased with this loyalty account and would certainly recommend to others.
