Travel Republic - frustrating experience (apology now received!)

Hi All,
Quick update - the Commercial Manager, Steve Dean, has apologised to me and admitted that it was a 'sorry tale of poor customer service' and a situation very badly handled.
He is still investigating why it happened but has taken steps to try and prevent it happening again.
So I'm more than happy with that :T and, if they have the best deal next year, will try them again.Really should be doing some work...0 -

I'm glad that you're happy with the outcome.
I'm not convinced though. We've all heard the phrase "lessons will be learnt"
But, seeing as though I didn't get an apology, I shall continue to book my flights and hotels with Expedia, and tell everyone I can, what my last experience of Travel Republic was.0 -
Expedia should be rename Expensivedia, I have never once found a trip/weekend/holiday on Expedia cheaper than elsewhere on the web.0

Actually I was thinking about this this morning for some reason. I'm happy that I got an apology but not happy that it took venting on this forum to get it! Though I guess it shows how great this site is for us. I now have the direct contact details of someone at Travel Republic so if I did decide to try them again I would go directly to this person.
I have just booked flights to Thailand directly with the airline so no third parties involved!Really should be doing some work...0 -
