Something is picking my strawberries!

I have a large patch of strawberries in my garden and something has been picking them and then placing them in piles in the strawbery patch. Most of them are not eaten and i was wondering what might be doing this. I have found about 3 clusters of these strawberries.

Any help on what is doing this and how to stop it would be great.

Thanks

I always net me strawberries to keep birds and squirrels off.
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
  • I had an animal eating my strawberries...

...I was in the greenhouse and I could hear this munching and licking of chops - I looked around and spotted my dad's Jack Russell Terrier carefully picking through the strawberries, and plucking the ripe strawberries neatly off the plants and devouring them - he only picked the really luscious red ones, and was obviously enjoying them!

Now I have to keep a very close eye on him and try and pick the ripe ones before he does!

... but sorry, that doesnt help solve your mystery!
