Does anyone know of a bank or building society account that can be held in the name of a charity or organisation but provides a Debit card facility?

It may be worthwhile lookign at the Coop bank - Community Banking section.

If it is a cooperative organisation then the Coop Bank a/c Co-operatives Directplus account allows a debit card. Details here:

They have another free account for Charities - Communmity Directplus, they don't mention a debit card, but may be worth checking with them. It supports online banking. Details here:

Thanks, I've sent them a letter. Please post any other suggestions if anyone has them.

Ltsb have a club society account that provides a debit card.
However no interest is paid on credit balances.
