P&O Cruise - any recommendations for Travel Agents/Websites?

Hi, I am looking to book a cruise on P&O Ventura for September 2011 for 2 Adults & 2 Children. In the past I have almost always used Gillett Travel but sadly they have ceased trading.
Please could someone recommend another Travel Agent/Website.
The best price I am finding so far is on the P&O website and I had no responses from 'Beat My Quote'

Thomas cook often have onboard credit, free parking or they usually give about 10% discount on the quoted price why don't you see what they say.0

The cheapest UK Cruise Travel agents I have found are www.cruisespecialist.co.uk or www.cruise118,co.uk.
Why P&O ? Have you tried any others, like Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Celebrity. I have been on all of them and I must say P&O are definately not the best.0 -

I have considered it but P&O tick most of the boxes for us. We went on Ventura last year and it was ideal for both us and our young children.
Also, want to sail out of Southampton rather than fly and can only really go on holiday in September due to husbands job.0 -
Back in 2001 my mum and I went on a P&O cruise on Oriana, admittedly it was a long time ago but we booked through Bakers Dolphin and got a great price. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Last year Coop travel were cheapest, this year we used Bolsover Cruise Club.0

We've also used Bolsover Cruise Club this year. Gave a really good price, but we did book 11 months in advance and they were very helpful getting the exact balcony cabin we wanted.0

Thanks to everyone, I have finally booked with Co-op Travel - really happy with the deal I was offered plus I got £350 on board credit and free car parking.0

I used Gills cruises to book for April next year free child place, free parking, double onboard credit exclusive offer and they were the cheapest quote I got. We are paying £1916 for 2 adults and 1 child, 2 weeks Western Med, inside cabin, free parking, £200 onboard credit on the Oceana.
We are also on Ventura in 3 weeks which we booked with Thomas cook instore - was ok deal but was my first time booking a p&o cruise and I probably wouldn't book with them again - best to shop around.
There is a forum on the p&o site and most folks are pretty helpful.
I would like to try princess or RCI but as we have been on an American cruiseline before thought we would try p&o this time.0 -
Hi, just booking a P&O cruise for Caribbean 2012, and Bolsover Cruise Club have beaten Co-op Travel by £30, but credit to Co-Op Travel as they beat Gills by £80!
Its definitely worth shopping around! Happy cruising:beer: "Adoption Loss is the only trauma in the world where the victims are expected by the whole of society to be grateful" - The Reverend Keith C. Griffith, MBE0
