ESA Medical Results Through In Two Days?!?

Hello all,

This is my first post on here and I will try and keep it to the point. Am just after any advice or knowledge with regard to the below.

I am on ESA and have been since 02/09. I had to go for an ATOS medical in May last year, which I failed and took to tribunal last December, which I won. This May, I got summoned to another ATOS ESA medical, which I went to on Tuesday last week (22nd June).

Today, I have received a letter ESA72 from the Jobcentre Plus BDC in St Austell, dated the 24th June, telling me that I have been placed in the work-related activity group (which I was in before anyway following the tribunal win). I am presuming that this letter means that I passed the medical assessment I went to on Tuesday, and I have phoned up the St Austell place twice today to try and find out whether I did pass it. Both people I spoke to says that this letter that was sent out must mean that I have, or it wouldn't have been sent, although they do not have any other details "on their system" yet.

When I went to the medical assessment the Dr said I would hear the results in about three weeks. This seems to indicate that I have heard them in two days! I was just wondering the following:

1) Is it normal for results to come through this quick?
2) Does anyone think that getting this ESA72 letter means that I have actually definitely passed the medical like the DHSS staff I spoke to said I must have?
3) Will whoever did the medical or anyone write to me and say how many points I got? I have already requested this medical report be sent to me by the DHSS when they get it.
4) The letter says on page two my case will be reviewed on 22/12/10 and I may have to fill out another pink ESA50 form then and go for another medical.

My main worry is that there has been some sort of big administrative !!!!-up somewhere, as even the woman at the DHSS office I spoke to said she has never heard of this letter being sent out so quick after a medical assessment. But she said that this letter must mean I passed it. I asked if the results are sent from ATOS electronically and she said she thinks so....but there was nothing on the system from them.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid, and can't remember now how long it took for them to write to me the last time I went for a medical (the one I failed)...but two days does seem very quick for them to be sending out this letter that implies I passed it.

If anyone has any advice or information on any of this, and what letters I might be sent next and from who, then it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks!

When my renewal happened in January my results came back within the week!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
