Pooping Cat!

Hi all,

I have a newly dug flower bed in my garden, where a few plants are starting to show signs of life!

However, next door have a cat which has started using my beautiful flower bed as a toilet.

How can I stop it from using my flower bed as a toilet? Any suggestions will be gladly received

Thank you.

I had to drape a net over until the flowers grew a bit, now they use the lawn instead

You could try orange or lemon peel which cats apparently don't like the smell of, but in reality it doesn't always work! We have two cats of our own and we've resorted to putting big-ish stones/rubble around the plants in the hope that they at least don't dig up the plants themselves (even though they still tend to go for the bits where there are no stones). The garden has ended up looking a bit of a poor-man's rockery, but it seems to be having a bit of an effect!

That's what I'm slightly worried about. I'd rather the cat popped in the flower bed than on the lawn!

I have heard that burying orange peel is a good deterrent- does anyone know if this works?

You answered my question before I'd even asked!

Thanks Frazzbo! I was slightly dubious about the whole citrus peel thing.. had a feeling it wouldn't work!
