i rang to tell the tax office that my husbands wages have gone down from about 700.00 wk to 500.00 wk but may increase again later in the year. i was told that i will have to wait until his wages go up again so that they know how much they owe me.At the time i said ok as didnt want to end up repaying them money. But we are now struggling and need extra money. does this sound right do i have to wait. thanks in advance

I was able to provide an estimate of annual earnings based on SMP and weeks left in the tax year. They adjusted payments accordingly as a 'change in circumstances'. I then had to provide my actual P60 amount to verify. I don't see why you can't provide an estimate.0
