Anything is possible ..but you need to ask the landlord's permission first. CORGI was replaced with the catchy (!!!) Gas Safe Register. The landlord should have an annual gas safety check carried out so should already have someone on their books who can remove it.

Not sure why you are asking on here. Surely you be asking the landlord, it's his property, after all.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
  • @27col...well obvious;y I would ask landlord permission, I was referring to whether it was possible to remove or whether it would interfere somehow with the workings of the system....
and I wouldnt be able to ask landlord until I veiwed, hence why I came on here for advice!

Well as we don't know enough about the "system" its impossible to tell remotely. If it is the front man for a back boiler your kinda stuffed whatever. Sorry but the question is unanswerable so I can totally see why 27C replied the way he did.

Its quite amazing isn't it that GasSafe replaced CORGI (as andrew said) as the maintainer of the RGI register no less than 15 months ago but the publicity associated with the change has been so unbelievably dire that many people still have absolutely no idea it happened.

    Cheers

I still find myself referring to it as Corgi anyway because it trips off the tongue so much easier than GasSafe. To me GasSafe is just what I want to end up with, not the man for the job!
