Kaspersky crashing on Full Scan

As the title says - periodically I perform a manual Full Scan with Kaspersky for the last few days it crashes on or around 80-90% - when I click on Resume Scan it goes back to the beginning. Then the same thing happens.

The quick scan is OK but the Objects Scan has the same issue as the Full Scan

The report says -

"Malfunction unknown the task was stopped"

Any ideas?

    There's a few mentions of this on the interweb. No-one's found a solution, and that includes the Kaspersky forum itself so it appears to a bug that they have no idea how to fix (dates back to August 09 and still no mention of how to fix it....).

    Suggest you delete the program and install Microsoft Security Essentials instead (free).
