Thank you everyone... I am now going to go ahead without worry! I put them on again last night and was reminded how comfy they are (not least of all because I have already broken them in lol!!)

I tried the vodka thing, and it did seem to lift the scuff a bit. I'm probably fussing over nothing - of course it's dead noticable when you have the shoe in front of your face, but when I put them on and look in a mirror, you'd need to be being VERY picky to notice it. The fronts are creased from wearing before, but I am going to put them on a couple of shoe horse things between now and then to see if that helps.

A pic if anyone is interested....http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.brideandbeautiful.co.uk/acatalog/PP19.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.brideandbeautiful.co.uk/acatalog/Paradox_Shoes.html&usg=__gAoO1M36Ct116cyS3XSLt_X4-YE=&h=171&w=200&sz=6&hl=en&start=1&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=L4CkUYVam92UVM:&tbnh=89&tbnw=104&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dparadox%2Bkendall%2Bshoe%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26ndsp%3D20%26tbs%3Disch:1

it's the 5th pair down - Kendall by Paradox. Pic doesn't show it but the buckle thingy is super twinkly!

Edited to add, I forgot to say but I can't have them dyed. The buckle thing can't be removed and it means therefore they can't be dyed? When I brought them I intended to dye them black afterwards, but a couple of places told me it wasn't possible for that reason!?
  • I personally wouldn't use them but then sometimes I'm not quite so MSE. For me it would kind of be like wearing the same dress!? Can't you sell them and use the money to buy some new ones? My shoes only cost £35.

    Different people have different sentiments.

TBH if I found the perfect dress at an amazing price, and it turned out to be from a jitled bride or something, my MSE would win over my superstitions!

My thoughts too, a dress or a pair of shoes doesn't make a happy marriage, the people do! :D

Oh my God you can't wear them, it's bad luck, haven't you heard????????????/

Only joking, there is nothing wrong with wearing them at all, and you are being sensible by choosing them for their comfort! x
Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...
  • Wear them!

I have 3 weeks to go and have seen shoes, but not bought (am still undecided between 2 dresses. . .).

However my back has gone (MRI tomorrow possible slipped discs!) and so my original "non-wedding" idea of wearing Birkenstocks is back as they are the only thing I can wear! Don't even think I'll get new ones, as have gold, silver and bronze ones to choose from!

    Total so far £28
