I currently live just over two hours drive from the nearest branch of my current account provider Natwest. However there is a Bank of Scotland and a Halifax in my City.
As they re part of the same group is it possible to pay chewques in to my current account through those branches, or do I have to do it through Natwest somehow?

Natwest are part of the Royal Bank of Scotland group, not HBOS.0

Do you have internet banking? I'm with Nationwide and with their internet banking you can print out a form and post the completed form + cheque to them and they pay it into your account. Not sure if that's available to non-internet bankers
So I'd check your internet banking (if you have it) or on their website/give them a call...it may be possible to post it to them if you can't pay it into another branch.0 -
From their website - you can post your cheque to them
http://www.natwest.com/personal/current-accounts/g4/common-questions.ashxow can I pay money in?
You can pay money into your account in the following ways:- Over the counter - pay in cheques or cash at any NatWest branch.
- Rapid Deposit machine - these can be found within many branches and allow you to pay in cheques or cash (notes only) into your account quickly.
- Cash machines - over 750 NatWest cash machines allow you to pay cheques or cash (not coins) into your account. Just fill in a paying-in slip and follow the instructions on the screen
- Online - once you've signed up to NatWest OnLine banking, you can transfer funds between your NatWest accounts online instantly.
- Post - you can post cheques (not cash) straight to your branch. Send them in an envelope with a completed paying-in slip. To find the address of your branch, please use our branch locator.

You should be able to post cheques to your branch for paying in. Other banks where you aren't a customer may make a charge, or may refuse to handle the transaction.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Do you mean RBS? You can pay cheques in at RBS as long as you have a paying in slip.0

I live a few miles from my Natwest branch so if I am lucky enough to receive cheques I just post them to the branch with a completed paying in slip, I have been doing this for years and have never, ever had a problem
Hope that helps
