I'm selling my Netgear DGN2000 router, is there anything important stored on it which should be cleared before it goes or is it not necessary?

When you're finished with it I would (while its turned on) press and hold the reset button on the back for approx 15-20 seconds with a pen or something. This should clear anything off like usernames, passwords etc.Useful is beautiful0

It would have your wireless SSID and password. How important that is depends on if you plan to reuse the password or if you use it elsewhere. You may also have changed the admin password which you'd need to pass on to the new owner.
Probalbly easiest to reset it all to defaults - there should be a little button you hold in as you turn it on somewhere on the back - often very small.0 -

Do I need to connect the router to a pc to reset it or do I simply plug it into the mains and press the reset button?A problem shared is a problem multiplied.0
