    ooh good find OP thanks!

I'm going to London on 4th-5th July and am thinking of getting one for then. If I buy one I'd hope to be able to book an appointment for one of those days.

Has anyone had previous experience with the Hair Group? :)

Hi yes I have had experience with the hair group. Nightmare is all I can say.
I got a voucher as a present the buyer checked first to see if there was one in my area, there was quiet a few.
So when I phone up the hair group to book an appoinment I was told there isn't one in my area, and the ones listed on the internet are for something else. ( i think THE HAIR GROUP have quite a few contracted with people ).

So anyone buying these vouchers first I would check first by phoning up the hair group but beware they may not be there for long at your salon.

TYPE IN the hair group AS THERE IS MORE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THEM.

    so please beware

Yes I have had a similar experience with Hair group - I recieved a voucher as a gift and though there was a salon in my area they could only cut my hair at certain rather inconvienient times of the day.

    I wouldn't bother!

    Yes sorry to say.
Save yourself £12.50 and don't bother.
I threw a voucher away last week.
You are likely to spend money on phone calls whilst your hair gets messier.

Hi. I have to say I've had a good experience with Hair Group. I got through to the operator very quickly. Someone from my nearest salon phoned within 2 days and made an appointment for my Mum and I to suit us. I've been back again since too. All in all, very impressed. The type of service received seems to depend on the salon itself from what I've read.

I have been trying to make an appt for a hair cut with my voucher for 5 months and I am still told there is nothing available for the next 6 weeks. They only seem to allocate a certain number of spots to voucher customers. I am very dissapointed with them. Won't buy again.

I ended up phoning then up and spent about 35 pounds on the phone.
In the end I told them about this web site, then I spoke to a senior member of staff, who tried to work something out for me. She ran me back and told me she has found me a salon and I should hear in the next 10 days. If I dont hear anything I will be putting in a complaint. What makes me made is that it is so misleading.

So in away I havent got cheaper hair cut with how many times I have been on the phone

CALL THIS NUMBER 01923234556 they called me on this number and I think its cheaper than the 0844 number

I have to say, thank you everyone for your responses, but I actually bought a voucher before I saw the responses. Although I didnt get my hair cut in London - was too late - I called them and was allocated a local salon in Farnham. I called the Hair Group last Thursday and yesterday I got the contact details of the salon through the post. Rang yesterday lunchtime & got an appointment for Saturday - just in time for holiday!

Turns out I've actually been to the salon in question before and they're pretty good. Haircut I'm getting should be costing me £43 so I'm really pleased :o) Sorry to those who haven't had good experiences :o(
