Or a hardware problem as soon as the video card tries to do any 3D.
Or something overheating with the work it's trying to do.
Or the PSU being old and on its way out, so voltages dropping to unacceptable levels when the cpu and gpu suddenly start drawing more current.
It could well be a software problem (indeed the OP's machine is within spec for the game) but it could be a dozen other things too unfortunately.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
