  • Valli you are quite right. Advancing years (so few in your case) may be a worry, but the alternative is unthinkable.

Mrs C how did you do? I unloaded and reloaded wm, loaded airer, put a load of clothes away, finally got time to clean my teeth (eew!) and brought a load of rubbish down from upstairs.

    Hello!

I'm knee deep in reports which have to be finished today, so a quick catch up now and then work, work, work! Some flying has been achieved this week - I'll update a list [STRIKE]if [/STRIKE]once reports get done!

Got a lovely wooden ottoman from ebay and dad drove me to pick it up on Friday eveing. £12.50 :D and it gives me a nice bit of extra storage.

I went to Paulton's Park with the Rainbows yesterday for Girlguiding Hampshire's Big Bash! The park was closed to the public so it was great for the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. Our littlies were soooo well behaved - not a moan or cross word from them even though it was a very long day with lots of walking. Superstars :D

I left home at 8:30 a.m. and returned at 9:20 p.m., so I was a teensy bit tired!

Happy Birthday to Jo and everyone else who has been celebrating this week x

L-L and Toots - you're both very welcome; it was definitely a case of 'saw them and thought of you!'.

    caroline - welcome

soappie - hugs; hope things get less stressful for you

Furry babies now have their eyes open and are exploring their cage and beginning to climb! Very cute.

    Ok, reports

Thanks, grateful - sidetracked by children yet again! Got washed and dressed and tidied bathroom. Then fed DS1 and washed cherries DS2 brought back from MIL's. Also put a bit more shopping away and rubbish out and gave DH a lift into village. Will need another HHC 12.15 - 12.45 to:

    peg washing out
    load WM
    empty and re-load DW
put meat in oven to slow-roast
    put last shopping away

Valli - quite possibly. Just off the M1/Denby Dale exit.
Fedup - it's the one that started off as a garden centre and is now a multitude of other things. With a bit more planning we could meet up for coffee and cake there sometime.

Best be off on my HHC.

well I am cracking on quite well and only sit down to check on mse. Having said that I am now fully addicted so need to keep some discipline on my list

So far I have washing done and out blowing in the breeze, dishwasher is empty and ready to be filled again, my tea cupboard has been put into some order and I have hoovered downstairs

I am now considering going in and bathing spike which I am dreading

Has anyone got any nice recipes for something a little different with my chicken piece. I was considering a nice creamy sauce but not sure

Just looked out the window and realised my mini-greenhouse was leaning at a funny angle:eek:
Cue rapid dash to save baby tomato plants (scrabbling around to grab potting compost off the slabs)
They really are only suitable for very sheltered places.

    Oooh - I'm famous! :D:D:D:D

DD2 decluttered to KH2 Friday after her high school induction day. :j

Fell asleep on the settee, as I had been awake until silly o'clock (something like 4.30 am)

Woke up at 6.45 pm, lay there for a moment, thinking how nice it was not to have to do anything.

And remembered that The Bloke I dumped earlier this year due to the trouble DD1 was causing over him was supposed to be picking me up at 7 on the way back from his niece's 12th birthday.

Then I looked in the mirror at myself :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Light speed shower
    Fall into clean clothes
    Apply warpaint
Stand at kitchen window wondering whether I would spot his new car/whether he would turn up at all/how I managed to do all of the above in 9 minutes 34 seconds.

He's been working on the South Coast for the last 3 months. :D

Tan. Muscles. New clothes. Same smile.

    ...

Anyway, last night was out at a hen party, which was a lot of fun even though I was [cough] very tired :A.

Woke up this morning and felt the urge to clean a bit.

Tried sitting down with a cuppa in the hope it would wear off, but no luck.

So today I will mostly be cleaning whilst wearing
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • caroline do you have cream? How about fry onions, add a clove of garlic whole and some herbs (tarragon?whatever you have?) and boil the cream while it reduces. Maybe some mushrooms in and white wine. Job done. I'm vegetarian, mind!!

That's the most urgent stuff done, so we're off out. DH is at the club and DS1 is going to see friends later to help him fix his laptop, so it's just me and DS2 who seems to be having a second dose of the terrible twos. Oh joy!

oh thats sounds delicious I think I will do that as I have everything in apart from the tarragon, I had a look and I have some paprika and mixed herbs. Wonder if that will be ok. I found some capers in the cupboard too but I guess that would be too much

I will serve with some of my favourite pasta (the thin stip one :) )
