I tidied up the living room, changed over the fleeces on the sofa, put more washing on line. Hoovered all downstairs and the stairs and landing. Washed up and then tried ringing my neighbour - could go over but she doesn't answer her door for some reason. Saying that she isn't answering her phone either and I know she is in as I saw her go up the road..lol Maybe the forum should go down a few more times for the odd hour or so we all seem to get more doneMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

vanilla please please get your sis to follow up Pen's advice - he just cant change the locks:eek: what a nightmare - and get nagging re the jobs (((hugs)))
LadyL oooooooooooooooooh you lucky lady .....I want one!!!! Although we did have a fly past at the parade today - there was 3 planes but i only saw 2 - one was very old possibly a spitfire and flying very low:eek: and the other went overhead was one of the new fighter jets (the nae escapes for now) Hope you see them again tomorrow - are you beginning to feel revived after the festival? and I got an envelope from the same lady!!!!:D:D:D
Froddy and a huge 'Thank you' from me too - you are such an angel - its lovely to have a 'spare':AxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI've booked the Red Arrows for next Saturday 10th for about 12 noon!!
I just remembered - they were meant to be doing a display at our tiny airshow about a month ago and they pulled out as they didnt have enough planes following the crash earlier this year - we were all very disappointed - It said that they werent doing anydisplays this year and yet here they are flying as normal for you guys - I am doubly jealous - will have to go check out their website and see if they are anywhere near me this year.
I was quite confused that i couldnt get on the forum - so i changed browser and firefox had the message that it was down.
we had a brilliant military parade here - as part of the celebrations of the city's 800 year celebrations - there were Navy, RAF, Army, British legion, veterans, all the different cadet groups, cubs, brownies, old vehicles, 4 pipebands, 2 brass bands and Prince Edward took the salute and awarded some medals to the families of fallen service personnel. There were hundreds maybe thousands watching!
So I have chilled since i came home.
I have a mystery - I went out to put rubbish in the brown bin - the one for garden and food rubbish. Inside the bin was a bunch of withered flowers - still wrapped in their cellaphane with the flower food attached - well withered - and tucked inside was a CD - turns out to be a blank CD - now the strange part is my bin is around the back of the house and my bins are not put out on the pavement as the binmen come round and collect them for me. And if someone was just looking for a bin to dump them in there were 3 nearer than my brown one. It has only happened in the last couple of days as I put rubbish out on tuesday or wed but the flowers are deader than just 2/3 days!!!! IYSWIM!
Very Strange!!!!!

I'm afraid I've failed to make the grade today.:( I have a corking migraine (think we're possibly in for a thunderstorm soon) and got to the point where it was either lie down or throw up_pale_ (sorry if tmi). I also have a mouth full of ulcers (just another of the joys of lupus) so feeling a tad sorry for myself today.
It's Quorn bangers'n'mash for dins tonight, which Mr LW has said he'll cook when he gets in. He really is a star!:A
Hope I feel better by tomorrow; we need to do our weekly F&V shop in Stony Stratford, and also go to the bank as Mr LW has a cheque in Canadian dollars to pay in (last bit of the inheritance from his Auntie). Sunday we're meant to be attending Northants Country Fair http://www.northamptonshirecountryfair.com/Welcome.html – hope the weather is kind to us!
FFP (((HUGS))) sorry things are so bad just now – hope FiL is at least being kept comfortable. Zac sounds adorable – hopefully he can help lift you a bit.
Cyclingyorkie similar good wishes for your FiL also.
PenPen Mr LW did his degree in mechanical engineering at Liverpool University, many moons ago.:)
Vanilla I hope your sister can get something sorted out; what a nightmare!
Toots that sounds really weird about the flowers in your bin. I must admit, it'd worry me, I don't like mysteries.
I do hope I haven't missed anyone I should have mentioned - apologies if I have; brain is firing on even less cylinders than usual today! Anyways, (((HUGS))) and posi-vibes where needed.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
My sister has spoken to CAB and they have said landlord needs to give them a months notice in writing. Now should she tell him that. :undecided
She also calling into H.E and has changed her towns on the list and they have said there is 2 available, 1 is in a very rough estate and the other could be near someone who is a nightmare (motorbikes at 3am, people coming and going all hours). She also went to an estate agents and there is 1 coming up next thursday for rent in a town close to where she is now. Only 4 houses in a row. I'm really hoping they get that one. (fingers crossed)
Flying wise the bins are up, Mr T been and gone (he got lost) and third coat of paint nearly on.:DSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
