Aaaaah:eek: When your boss has collaborated on the production of an international standard and BSI are looking to us to lead the way but I'm the one left having to understand it, who do you turn to for help? My maths isn't too shabby:o but trying to get my head around the uncertainty of measurement is making me want to bang my head very very hard on :wall:any solid surface... I'm supposed to be the accounts clerk!:( Only you guys, especially visions of Pigpen strutting her stuff in a 70s disco outfit, is keeping me half sane.

I think I need food, brain food, then some flying to calm down and then back to it.

    So far I have;

Cleaned fridge out, put away shopping, WMx2 now on line, made beds, DW, tidied round...

Isn't the uncertainty half the divisions of the measurements of the least accurate method? So if you have measurements marked in cm, mm and um on different gauges, it would be half the cm, so ± 0.5cm or the equivalent?

The Muse set was awesome on Saturday night. I'd have been over the wall at the MK bowl if I had been there! DD2 fell asleep on the sofa to the strains of Knights of Cydonia :)

Spent couple of hours in a basement rehearsal room this morning - best thing to do on Monday mornings, I think - aircon, Red Bull and a white Cort T35 :D

I have an assignment to finish for 12 noon Weds (I HATE voice dynamics - it's not as if I have the slightest interest in formants when there are now mics and amps to deal with), so must get bum into gear, just after I've finished the surgical spirit on the fingertips thing. Sooo out of practice on strings.

Have just looked up DD1's college attendance and she's away yet again (and a friend spotted her at the doctor's today with her boyfriend - refusing to speculate on the likely cause of that) so am determined to ignore it, as the lure of the non existent money and the BF staying over is obviously so strong as to make it worth cutting me off.

Might stick a washload on, but really CBA in this weather....
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

LW~~ welcome back, if you are stuck for food, I'm happy to pop to the supermarket for you and pop over and / or/ pick you up and take you there, and bring you back of course, ! pm me if you want to xxx

DustyKitten~~ tax refund says it will be paid by 31.01.11 BUT they always pay them early!! well done on getting yours.

Sorted out the work shop and put back 9 large empty plastic crates from the car booting as they were in my way at home cluttering up the garage. I'm going to get withdrawal sysmtoms, as other car booters in the section I use are regulars and it is great fun at 5am!! honest it is!! it is only when the punters come in at 6am, that the laughing and joking stops. Going to have to find something else to do with my Sunday mornings.

    Thanks everyone as always

    Toots - take it easy
Dusty - You do know someone who lives en route assuming you do M1 and A50...... failing that Ashbourne/Tissington are very pretty, or Chatsworth for a bit of a detour? Pottery museums in and around Stoke? Dovedale is very pretty too. Also Bakewell - let them try real bakewell tart?
valli - I love my iphone, and I too am a bit of a technophobe. I would replace it if I really broke it, and there aren't many things I say that about.

Visitors from Wednesday here so I have to get my backside in gear - trouble is I am working every day :(.

Thanks for the post Jojo, the uncertainty and calculations thereof I can just about manage, it's working out what to take into account and their relevance for the uncertainty budget and their distribution and where to get some of the info from anyway and it's all to do with bulk density(kg/hl) and it's just the last in a long list of issues with implementing the standard that I've been struggling with all year, not being qualified in metrology I have found it very difficult especially combined with some interesting prescribed drug induced cotton wool brain...:D

Have done much more flying because work got in the way but I'm off to make tea and fetch the washing in. See you later.

Valli, glad you got a message. I'm with GnB, iPhone's are cool and very easy to use.

I got dead excited when the weather forecast said we might get rain this afternoon!!!!!

24'C is NOT natural.. if I wanted to live with vile weather like this I would not live in the north of England.. I LIKE clouds!!!!!!!

I'm with you on that one Pigpen.

I am strange I like cold weather - I hate the hot weather I want winter and cold and snow. But if one more person tells me I cannot moan at good weather I may end up in prison for GBH. If one more person tells me that I have the easiest job (childminder) as I can sit in the garden all day long I may scream. It is too hot to be in the garden between 11 and 3 and I have grumpy minded children who burn and want to be outside all day long.

Oh yes count me in again this week (hopefully I will keep on track this week but I know I will have cluttered some of the weight back that I decluttered last week)

Edited to say Thanks to everyone at Flylady Central

Awww, Kaz that's really kind of you, (((HUG))) but we've got it covered. I've hard-boiled some eggs and put together a rice salady-type-of-thing with onion, peas and cranberries, and we've got toms and cucumber to pad it out for tonight, and plenty of fruit for afters. If Mr LW wants more than that, he can peel a few spuds for some chips.

He's on early shift tomorrow, so the plan is that he'll peel a few spuds and I can do potato salad, and I'll cook some Quorn sausages and let them cool, so that it's a different salad from today's. Then we'll go into Central MK when he finishes at 14:30 and get his hair cut - he's beginning to look like a hippie, specially with the sandals :D and then on to Morries afterwards.

Once I've been there, I can do a quiche for Wednesday, and turn some of the blueberries I got at the f&v market into fool and/or ice cream.

Anyways, I'm done for today (not to mention totally cream crackered as I also did half an hour of weeding in the back garden - I still can't go out the front alone, but I'm not too bad out the back if I'm having a reasonable day, as it's all fenced in and secure.)
