Thought it was odd, tried three times and it returned nothing for either????

The CCA register is awkward. Often won't show up things that it should via just a name search.

The most reliable way is using the company number if you know it. BUT you need to miss off any leading zero, otherwise it doesn't work. ;)

I have to say, compared to others, their letters have been very civilised (no big red capitals or nothing!) and I haven't gotten the impression of dodginess from them - those texts aside of course.

MBNA use them, they initially send letter saying Vardi have bought the rights to any debt (Ireland unmanned address some suggest), then if you are wise you send letter pointing out to them there is a dispute with MBNA on account, they ignore, and send a MBNA headed letter stating they themselves should be contacted with payments using EXPERTO CREDITE Envelope & postage, so they are sending out a letter using MBNA headed address, sounds like a complaint to FSA etc. also breaking FSA rules regarding mis representation of right and fact.
