One of my networked computers has got a trojan virus. AVG picked it up and says that it has put into quarantine. However, I can't connect to the internet from that computer. Not a techie so need very basic help.

Looks like it was one of the files needed to get online. What file was it? Also, you might wanna use something better than AVG, it was once pretty good but it's nowhere near the top of the pile these days. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0

Download malwarebytes onto a usb stick I think? Not sure if it will work but have adjusted alienRIK's instructions:
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION') onto USB stick
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ma..._anti_malware/
Connect to infected computer:
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds0
