Benefit cosmetics Dr Feel Good query.

I was thrilled to be given a pot of Benefit's Dr Feel Good by a friend as she said it didn't suit her skin and I was raving about how great it was and how I would love to by a new pot as mine was very nearly finished but it was so expensive.

Anyway, it's totally different to the stuff I've been using (and love), really greasy on the skin and doesn't have the usual texture or smell, no wonder she didn't get on with it!

Does any one know if they have changed the recipe lately?
I don't like to ask her where she got it and seem really ungrateful, maybe it's a fake although the tin is identical to my old one.
Such a disappointment

Does anyone on here have any ideas as to what to do or should I just put it down to experience?

Could be worth emailing Benefit to ask them ?? When I had my makeup done for a ball the girl used some on me first of all ( I think - there were loads of things she put on me!!) and i dont remember it being like you describe....

Id start there - and yes, Id ask your friend where she got it from - it could well be someone trying to pull a fast one if she got it from ebay or somewhere?

Thanks Trudij I think I will ask her where she got it next time I see her. If it turns out to be all above board I may just take it in to my nearest Benefit counter and return it as faulty.
Got to be worth a try if I'm up front with them.

I asked her today where she bought it from.
As I asked she said, why, is it fake?
Apparently it was purchased on line although she couldn't remember what site, she's going to have a look to see if she's still got the receipt at home.
At least she'll know not to order anything else from them.

Its a big shame - the benefit stuff is so lovely, to find something thats not right (either a fake or just a duff pot) must be SUCH a disapointment...

Could it be the hot weather? I remember Dr Feelgood having a grainy texture, maybe its been affected? Perhaps try putting it in a cold place?

I will if she gets back to me with the site, I don't like to pester her though as she was really apologetic that it was no good, bless her. It wasn't like she had any idea.
