Natwest Current Account application has got me puzzled !

I applied online last night for a Joint Natwest Currentplus account with my wife, I put my details first and hers second and got offered a Step Account or Cash Account !, so I exited the application and put her details first and mines second and got offered a Currentplus account ! (Which I accepted).

I can't figure it out ?, although I suppose it worked in the end.

What is your credit history like? If you have a bad credit history they only let you have a really basic account, which is the step account, no overdraft, visa electron card etc.

Natwest have moved on and you now get a Visa Debit card, prior to that you would of got a Solo card.
The Visa debit is a ''full'' authorisation meaning it has to make sure you have the funds in;) this applies to the Step account (Blue Visa Debitcard)
Think it's a different colour on the main current account!

Bare in mind because of actions taken during the application process you will have possibly both been credit scored twice.

As the credit scoring process starts after you have entered your name and address etc regardless to whether you abandoned the application or not.

I know from experience, I abandoned half way through the application and it had done a credit check:eek:
