Having problems with Tevion MP3 player

Does anyone else have one of these? I'm finding it really hard to navigate around the folders of music - it keeps timing out and jumping back from the navigation menu to the previously played song so I have to restart the laborious task of moving through the folders again.
Is there an easier way of doing this or of changing the 'time-out' time?
