Don't know if anyone can advise.

I had a Halifax CC that I was considering closing and had a NIL balance. I received refunds this week to the value of £530.10. I have since spent £5.00 on Amazon bringing the total to +£525.10.

I can't be bothered with the hassle of asking for a cheque as I would then need to go to a branch to pay in or send by post.

Does anyone know if they would refund the positive balance to a Bank of Scotland current account?

Have you tried phoning them and asking them directly? That way you would know for sure. Though I don't see why they shouldn't be able to do that facility.

I had this once with Egg, I called and they said either use it as normal like a debit card, or they offered to send out a cheque.

I've had a small positive balance on CC before after doing BT's and I've always had it paid into my bank account. Never had it with Halifax though, but with Barclaycard, M&S CC and HSBC CC.

Just ring them and ask. Or buy something for that amount using the CC!
