Hi,
need to get 50 photos from computer (they are in various folders), onto a disc, to get them printed.
Do I use a cd-r or a cd-rw ? When I put in a cd-rw, it wants to fromat it, which is taking ages. Why does it need to format ?
Main Q is, can I select say 4 from one folder, then 'send to'...... disc, then do again from another folder (won't this 'overwrite' the previous 4 I have done ?
"Auto play" comes up, with many (mainly audio), options. Which method do I select ?
Easy for some.......
thanks for advice

Hi
If you use a cd-rw disc you will be able to erase and use it again.
rw means re-writeable.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
CDRWs need formatted the first time you use them, and each time you want to reuse them. They come without a filesystem, like most blank hard drives do, and like a lot of old floppies used to.
Use a CDR or a CDRW, either's fine.
Just cancel out of autoplay.
And yes, you can just send to for each group of files, it won't replace the old ones. http://www.worldstart.com/tips/file-management/howto-burn-a-cd.htm should tell you how to do it.
Personally I prefer to use ImgBurn to burn CDs and DVDs. I find it a better interface than the build-in windows tools. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
thanks fols - got it now0

Not necessarily true.
Some software will allow you to leave the disc 'appendable'.
If you do this you can add extra files later ie append.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0
