Furniture purchased from Reids

Has anyone recently purchased dining room furniture from Reids. I recently purchased an extending table (Trafalgar range) with 6 chairs in February. First table, one leaf would not extend and badly made with 3mm bigger gap between top and extending leaves. Reids replaced it but second table exactly the same although just possible to extend.
I note that the entire Trafalgar range has been removed from website.
Has anyone experienced similar problems? Reids do not deal with aftersales customer complaints, but off load to Ecomaster which makes life more difficult. Reids customer service office (based in glasgow) who authorise Ecomaster to to visit are very very difficult to contact and do not get back to you if you leave your number.
Have been offered paltry compensation but would welcome hearing from anyone who has had similar experience

    How long have you had the item, i would contact head office if its not been long and tell them the item is faulty and not fit for purpose therefore under the sale of goods act you want it uplifted and a full refund you are entitled by law unless of course you have had it for ages.
  • Thanks, since found out that the complete range of furniture including the table has now been dropped from the catalogue, they are therefore unlikely to be able to replace it. A letter rejecting the £50 compensation has gone to Reids, now awaiting their response.
