Possibly the biggest thing is
To apply you must be an existing Yorkshire Bank customer.
also
You must be at least 18 years of age, resident in the UK, and not an existing Yorkshire Bank or Clydesdale Bank Credit Card customer.0 -
I have a yorkshire back gold mastercard, easy to use through yorkshire bank online banking and lets you transfer straight to credit card.
no paperless option though0 -
I would avoid it like the plague! After seeing what looked like a great deal on Martins Money Tips I applied and after looking on their webiste, it said it would be an instant decision. However I got a bounce-back saying that it had been referred to their application team who would write to me within 5 working days.
2 weeks later I still hadn't heard anything and called them up and spoke to their customer services who said that 9 out of 10 cases are referred back to their application team and an instant approval is rarely given. (My credit rating is excellant). They said it would probably take another week to hear back from them.
3 weeks later I finally received confirmation my application had been succesful. However they didn't confirm what my credit limit was until a week later!
When it did finally arrive it wasn't enough to pay my existing Virgin credit card balance which is what I got it for! They only gave me a £2,700 credit limit despite me earning good money and having an 'excellant' credit limit! So now I still have to pay back Virgin (plus interest as my 0% has run out!) as well as this 3rd rate bank who are trying to play in the big league but have neither the resource or funds available to accomodate it!!
I am not an existing Yorkshire Bank customer!
Hope this helps!0
